legal questions
What do you need to start a childcare business?
Like any other business, a childcare business needs to be registered with the relevant bodies (e.g. if you're under a company structure, you need to register your business with Companies House and obtain a Company Number).
In light of more industry-specific requirements, you'll need to obtain a Basic Disclosure (equivalent to a National Police Check) as well as an Enhanced DBS Check (similar to a Working With Children (WWC) Check).
Our lawyers can help you with registration requirements, including business name registration and trade mark registration - get in touch with our team to learn more.
