Question

What are the education regulations in the UK?

Answer

UK education is regulated at both national and devolved levels. The Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) sets standards for educational qualifications in England and Northern Ireland, while Scotland has its own Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF), and Wales follows the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales (CQFW). For higher education, the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) is responsible. Vocational Education and Training (VET) providers are regulated through the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) in England, Qualifications Wales in Wales, and the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) in Scotland. Providers must adhere to standards set for registration, curriculum, quality assurance, and student rights. Our education specialists can provide insights into specific regulations and compliance.
