Legal Intern

  • OVERVIEW

    We’re looking for a university student with excellent writing skills and an interest in legal tech to join our team and help us on our journey to disrupt the legal industry!

    Sprintlaw is an innovative, online law firm for small businesses and startups. We’re on a mission to make quality legal services faster, simpler and more affordable for our clients.

    We offer a range of fixed-fee legal packages covering everything that small businesses and startups need – company set up, contract review and negotiation, employment, intellectual property, capital raising and leases. We run our business like a tech startup, with user experience, creativity and lean thinking at the core of our culture. We’re even based in a cool, new co-working space in Chippendale with a basketball court, table tennis and lots of fun events.

  • THE ROLE

    1-2 days per week in Chippendale. Hours are flexible. This is an unpaid internship and we are only offering it to students who are able to get course credit for participation.

    The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include:

    Legal research and producing engaging online content in accordance with our content strategy;
    Updating our internal legal knowledge databases;
    Assisting with legal matters, including drafting contracts and other legal documents;
    Assisting with the implementation of our digital marketing strategy and managing social media accounts;
    Ad hoc assistance with other business activities.

    This internship is a great opportunity for a law student to get hands-on experience working in an exciting new and disruptive online legal business. We don’t do billable hours, and we don’t have a traditional partner model. No coffee runs and no admin work – you’ll be writing on real legal issues every day, learning from a great (young!) team and thriving in a creative space.

  • YOUR SKILLS

    This opportunity is open to a law student with an interest in new law firm models. You should be tech savvy, have excellent writing skills, have strong initiative and an ability to work autonomously.
