WHAT’S IT FOR?
If you want to protect your business name, brand names, logo or catchphrases from being used by others, you should register a trade mark. A UK registration gives you an exclusive right to use the trade mark in the UK and the Isle of Man, allowing you to stop others from using it. Registering a trade mark is a complex and technical process and it’s a good idea to have a lawyer help you through it.
WHAT’S INCLUDED?
File a single class UK trade mark application to protect your brand and company’s intellectual property. A UK registration will ensure that you have exclusive use of your Trade Mark in the UK and the Isle of Man.
This includes:
- An initial 30-minute phone consultation with an expert to explain the trade mark process and ensure you have all information required to proceed with the application;
- Submitting an application for 1 trade mark in 1 class (each additional class will incur an additional charge); and
- Monitoring correspondence from the Intellectual Property Office throughout the application process.
Although your lawyer will do a quick sense check before proceeding with the application, this package does not include a full search of the trade mark register or any advice relating to the trade mark registration’s likelihood of success. If further work is required beyond the initial submission to the IPO, we will provide you an additional quote for this service.
