Getsorted.today is a free compliance checker for UK micro-businesses without an in-house legal or HR team. Founders answer around a dozen plain yes/no questions about their business, employees, customer data, card payments and premises. The tool maps answers against UK regulations covering data protection, employment law and consumer rights, and returns a tailored report sorted by urgency, so founders see what needs action now, what's worth checking, and what doesn't apply. Clients get clear, jargon-free guidance rather than legal advice: each flagged item explains the risk in plain English, links to the relevant official guidance, and suggests a next step. It's a starting point, helping founders understand where they stand and when to bring in a solicitor for anything needing proper legal sign-off. We built it because most compliance failures come from not knowing an obligation exists, not from ignoring it once known.
