Unsure about how we work? We have gathered the most common questions for your convenience.
The problem is often not the pilot itself, but the assumptions sitting behind it. A startup may think the trial is informal, while the customer expects service levels, ownership rights, rollout options or support commitments that were never clearly agreed. That can create tension around fees, data use, confidentiality, IP created during the pilot, and what happens when the test period ends. Putting the right documents in place helps record the commercial position more clearly. The best approach depends on how the parties work together, what has already been agreed and where the main risks sit.
This service commonly includes a pilot or trial agreement, a founder or shareholder agreement, an employment or contractor agreement, and an NDA. The exact mix depends on what your startup needs documented now. For example, a founder team preparing for a paid proof of concept may need pilot terms plus founder paperwork, while a business bringing in a specialist developer may also need contractor terms and confidentiality wording. If the matter expands into investment documents or broader transaction support, that would usually sit outside this fixed-fee.
A pilot agreement often needs to cover the trial scope, duration, fees if any, access to the product, permitted use, confidentiality, data handling, ownership of existing IP, treatment of improvements, liability wording and what happens at the end of the pilot. Some pilots also raise questions about exclusivity, success criteria, conversion to a longer contract or use of feedback. If those points are left vague, the parties can end up treating the pilot like a live commercial rollout without clear boundaries. That is why the factual setup matters as much as the label on the document.
The drafting depends on the relationships you are trying to document and how settled the commercial points already are. For a pilot, that may include the product being tested, whether the arrangement is paid, what information is shared, who owns improvements and whether there is a path to a longer agreement. For founder or team documents, it may turn on roles, equity expectations, IP ownership and exit arrangements. Completion steps can depend on the company records and any existing shareholder arrangements, especially where founder documents are involved.
Timing depends on how many documents are needed and how much of the commercial position has already been agreed. If the pilot terms and internal arrangements are relatively settled, drafting can move quickly. If founder positions, equity points or hire terms are still changing, that usually affects the wording across more than one document and can add time. After the initial call, we confirm the documents in scope, prepare the drafts, and work through up to two rounds of amendments based on your feedback and any clarifications that come up.
