Unsure about how we work? We have gathered the most common questions for your convenience.
This is often useful for businesses running consumer-facing marketing across more than one channel, especially where the same claim appears on a website, in paid ads, on social media, in email campaigns or in promotional landing pages. It is particularly relevant if you are making stronger statements about price, results, quality, speed, savings, comparisons or limited-time offers. The service is broader than a quick question about one sentence, because it looks at how customers are likely to read the claim in context across the materials you want checked.
The main issues are usually claims that sound broader or more certain than the evidence behind them. That can include absolute statements, headline savings, performance claims, before-and-after messaging, comparison wording, free or bonus offers, scarcity claims and qualifications hidden away in fine print. Sometimes the problem is not one word by itself, but the overall impression created by the advert. We review what a customer is likely to take from the message, then flag where the wording, evidence or promotion structure appears out of step with that impression.
We review the wording together with the supporting material you provide, to the extent needed for a legal assessment of substantiation. For example, if you are claiming savings, performance, product features, rankings or results, the available evidence matters because the claim needs to match what can actually be supported. We are not carrying out a scientific test, technical audit or marketing performance review. What we can do is flag where the support appears thin, inconsistent, outdated or not strong enough for the way the claim is currently expressed.
After the review, you can update the relevant claims, add clearer qualifications, revisit the evidence behind key statements or adjust the promotion structure before launch. In some matters, a few wording changes are enough. In others, the review may show that the campaign concept, pricing message or offer mechanics need more substantial work. If you want further legal help after that, such as redrafting ad copy, preparing promotion terms or responding to a complaint, we can quote separately for that next stage rather than treating it as part of the initial review.
It includes legal review of the agreed advertising materials, written comments on the main risk areas, and practical recommendations on what may need to be softened, clarified or supported with better evidence. We can also comment on pricing presentation and promotional wording where those points are part of the materials being reviewed. This is a broader claims review service, not a full marketing rewrite. If you later want us to redraft campaign copy, prepare separate promotion terms or assist with a complaint or regulator contact, that would need separate scoping.
